Traffic connection
By train
Munich
During day every half hour, after 20:00 every hour until 23:25.
With some trains you have to change trains in "Buchloe" with an immediate connection.
The journey time is about one hour.
Trains run just as often from Kaufbeuren to Munich.
Other destinations
- Füssen and the Castle Neuschwanstein (hourly)
- Kempten, Sonthofen, Oberstdorf in the Alps (hourly)
- Augsburg (every half hour)
- Lindau at Lake Constance (hourly)
A day-ticket ("Bayern-Ticket") for 2 or more persons, with which you can use all trains and public transport in Bavaria, costs about 30€.
We recommend to use the app "DB-Navigator" to search for connections. It is working also in English.
By Bus
Usually we pick our guests up at the train-station or we take them back.
But there is a hourly bus from the train station to a stop nearby.
By Taxi
Taxi would cost about 15€.
By car
From the north of the Autobahn A7 (Würzburg, Ulm), take the A96 towards Munich in Memmingen. (from Memmingen about 1 hour)
From the Autobahn A96 (Munich-Lindau) you can reach us from the exits Bad Wörishofen or Kaufbeuren in 20 min.
From the South (Austria, Italy) via Innsbruck, Fernpass, Reutte leave the Autobahn A7 in Nesselwang. From there less than 1 hour.
By foot
Yes - you could walk! Takes about 1 h from the station. A tough American couple from Alaska has done it, when we weren't at home!
Usually we pick our guests up at the train-station or we take them back.
By plane
Note, that the airport Memmingen (FMM) is very close!
Journey times:
